Environmental Medicine, Inc. has contact with a number of environmental professionals and specialists in public health who are located at leading academic, biological and chemical research institutions throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. Environmental Medicine, Inc. staff have extensive experience with a number of specific chemicals as well as groups of chemicals including asbestos, graphite, and man-made fibers, plastics, monomers (vinyls, acrylates, styrene, plasticizers, stabilizers and so forth), solvents (benzene, xylene, and toluene) halogenated dioxins and dibenzofurans (resource recovery, solid waste incineration, wood preservation, secondary metal smelting), polychlorinated biphenyls and polyhalogenated aromatic hydrocarbons, metals such as lead, arsenic, cadmium and chromium, wood preservation chemicals i.e., pentachlorophenol and creosote, chemicals involved in dry cleaning and degreasing processes including: perchloroethylene, trichloroethylene, methyl chloroform and methylene chloride.
